
Paper supplier Argowiggins awarded its catering contract to The Workshop in 2006 after becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the previous supplier of 15 years. Since taking over, The Workshop has substantially expanded and increased its vending and hot food takeaway service for the plant’s 500 employees. Retaining the incumbent staff The Workshop employs two full and one part time personnel. The transfer of administrative duties off-site has allowed the staff to concentrate on their catering duties, which has resulted in a reduced subsidy and a 35% increase in turnover.
