In June The Workshop UK Ltd accepted a further 9 Healthy Living Awards at the Presentation Ceremony in Glasgow.

March 2010
Healthy Living Award success again; this time for the 2 AMEC sites in Aberdeen. This brings the total number of awards for The Workshop UK Ltd and its clients to 20 – the highest percentage of any other caterer in Scotland. National Oilwell Varco are currently being assessed by Consumer Focus Scotland and we hope to have good news for them by the end of the month.

February 2010
The Workshop is asked to provide a small catering / retail facility for Halliburton at their Don premises in Aberdeen.

November 2009
The Workshop UK Ltd wins a 4-year contract for AMEC to provide full catering services for its staff at their City Gate and Quattro House premises in Aberdeen after a full tendering process. Healthy Living Awards are currently being evaluated for both sites and we hope to have them awarded by end of February 2010.

September 2009
The Workshop UK Ltd were invited by Consumer Focus Scotland to take part in their Homecoming Scotland celebrations by holding specially-themed days during the Scottish Food and Drink fortnight. These proved very popular with all our clients and customers and we have been invited, and agreed, to take part in the event again in 2010.

Another 3 Healthy Living Awards were successfully achieved for the following sites : TSC Larbert, Weatherford Dyce and Schlumberger Completions.

June 2009
National Oilwell Varco appoint The Workshop UK Ltd to provide catering services to it’s staff at Portlethen. The facility is proving very popular and serves nearly all of the staff there daily.

May 2009
Grampian Police extend their contract with The Workshop UK Ltd by a further 2 years across all Grampian Police sites in Aberdeen.

During May 2 more Healthy Living awards were achieved for BIS Salamis in Bridge of Don and SAIC in East Kilbride.

April 2009
Sites at Salamis Aberdeen, SAIC East Kilbride and TSC Larbert are currently being assessed for compliance by the Healthy Living Award, with awards hoped for soon.

March 2009
Bond Helicopters extended the current service for a further 3 years. The service area also underwent a bit of a facelift to enable more selection and choice for the client.

January 2009
Opened new canteen facility at SAIC in East Kilbride, which is now undergoing the Healthy Living Award process aswell. Kilmarnock TSC were awarded the Healthy Living Award, making it our ‘lucky 13’.

S.A.I.C appoint The Workshop to take over their catering services at their East Kilbride office site, which Is testament to the ongoing excellent working relationship that The Workshop and S.A.I.C have developed.

The Workshop have added to their Healthy Living Awards by having their catering facilities at Arjo Wiggins, Grampian Police Woodhill House & FRS The Marine Laboratory (all Aberdeen) being awarded this month. Work is ongoing to achieve the awards within our facilities at First Bus, Subsea 7 at Altens and our TSC facilities in Kilmarnock and Larbert.

The Workshop UK’s catering teams at The Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen and Weatherford UK’s facility at Greenwell Road in Aberdeen have both achieved the Healthy Living Award this month in our ongoing commitment to support this Award.

The Workshop is proud to announce a number of major new contracts.

Arjo Wiggins Fine Papers has extended its contract with The Workshop to provide in-house staff catering services at their Stoneywood Mill, Bucksburn for a further two and a half years.

BIS Salamis, leading providers of industrial services to the energy and industrial markets, has appointed The Workshop to manage their in-house staff catering at their Aberdeen premises. The site is due to open on 1st August 2008.

The Workshop has also been successful in its bid to run Weatherford’s staff catering facility at two Aberdeen sites. The first is at their Dyce premises where the restaurant is currently under development and is due to open in September this year. The second contract is for their Altens’ premises. The restaurant at Altens is due to open in December 2008.

“This is great news for The Workshop,” said Allan Henderson,  “Not only are we winning new business but we have also extended a number of existing contracts this year which shows that customers appreciate the environment, service and food we provide for their staff.”

The Workshop was established in 1995 and manages over 35 in-house staff catering facilities throughout the UK.
